According to Selangor FC interim Head Coach, Abdifitaah Hassan, the team should have scored more goals.
"We have a plan on how we need to play based on the scenario, but with the pitch wet conditions due to the heavy rain, we had to adapt by looking for the second ball. In yesterday's match, we had some very good chances in the first half but we couldn't finish them. In the second half, we tried to get more chances and I tried to bring in some fresh legs, as a result we were able to score a goal, but if you look at the overall game, we should have scored more goals,” he explained.
However, the Red Giants still have a chance in the second match of the Round 16 which will be held at the MBPJ Stadium on December 1 at 8:30 pm to qualify for the 2024/25 Unifi Malaysia Cup Quarter Finals.
Selangor FC would also like to express gratitude to the supporters who supported and attended the Temerloh Stadium, Pahang yesterday to be with the team.
Next, the Red Giants club will receive a visit from the team from Thailand, Muangthong United FC on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 8:00 pm at the MBPJ Stadium for the fifth match of the ACLTWO 2024/25 competition.
